Ordoñez Named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchday

Arquimides Ordoñez has been named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchday following his performance against Toronto FC II in FC Cincinnati 2's opening MLS NEXT Pro match.
Ordoñez scored two goals and added one assist in the 4-2 win at Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium Monday night, tallying six total shots, three on target, which led all FC Cincinnati 2 players.
Ordoñez was credited with an assist on Jesus Castellano's opening goal of the match that gave the Orange and Blue a 1-0 lead in the 7th minute. The young Guatemalan international brought the 2's level early in the second half with his first goal of the season and secured the win in the 81st.
Ordoñez was one of four players to score multiple goals in the first week of MLS NEXT Pro play and the only player to register three total goal contributions in their opening match.
