
Orangeville A's Secure Big Home Win against Express, 110-104

(MONO, ON)- The Windsor Express (18-16) dropped their second road game in a row, this time to the Orangeville A's (12-23). The momentum shifted in favour of the A's during the fourth quarter, giving them a 110-104 victory.
Kirk Williams Jr was off to a hot start for the Express, putting up the first 11 points in five minutes. The A's rallied back, going on a 11-2 run to finish the first quarter with a 27-22 lead.
Windsor started off slow in the second quarter, until Tony Bennett hit a three pointer to put Windsor back in the lead, 38-35 midway through the quarter. Sherron Collins closes the first half with a three pointer of his own to give Windsor a 54-47 advantage.
Kirk Williams Jr started the second half of the game putting up 6 points in the first two and a half minutes, keeping the Express' lead alive. The A's were resilient, and managed to come back after Lewis Jackson hit a three pointer with a minute left in the quarter, bringing the score within two, 80-78. Richard Amardi ties the game at 80-80 with 30 seconds, and then Billy Rush tips in a bucket to take the lead back. Richard Amardi beats the buzzer, and both teams are tied going into the fourth quarter, 82-82.
Two minutes into the fourth quarter, Kirk Williams Jr brings Windsor back in the lead, 86-84. Richard Amardi hits a big three pointer to put Orangeville ahead by 1, 87-86. After that point, Windsor would not regain a lead for the remainder of the game. Maurice Bolden was able to bring the score within one point, 102-101 with over a minute to play. Orangeville held off Windsor, and finished with a 110-104 win.
Kirk Williams Jr put up a stellar double double performance, with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Brandon Robinson added 16 points of his own.
Rudolphe Joly and Billy Rush came off the bench, and each put up 13 points.
Richard Amardi put up a game high 27 points, which contributed to the A's win.
Justin Moss had a double double, putting up 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Windsor Express will return to The WFCU Centre on Friday, April 15th to host the Moncton Miracles, and on Saturday, April 16th to host the Halifax Hurricanes. Both games are scheduled for a 7:30pm game start.
