
Orange Helmet Awards Deliver $60,000 In Donations

(Vancouver) The final totals are in and the BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that the 2008 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner has raised more than $60,000 for amateur football in British Columbia.
The sold-out event, which recognized 2007 provincial champions for all levels of amateur football in BC, took place on Saturday, March 1st and featured TSN analyst Glen Suitor as MC as well as renowned and highly-respected ESPN sportscaster and commentator Chris Berman delivering a stirring keynote address for the sell-out crowd of more than 850.
Proceeds from all five Orange Helmet dinners to date have provided more than $235,000 in grassroots football support.
