Florence Y'alls News Release
FLORENCE, KY - Opening day is here for the Florence Freedom and University of Cincinnati Medical Center Stadium.
This Thursday through Saturday, the Freedom will be taking on the River City Rascals. Fans coming to the stadium can enjoy these new ballpark features.
Right when fans enter through the gates, they'll notice the "changing of the guard" with all the UCMC Stadium signage. The stunning stadium logo resembles that of the Freedom's "Eagle" logo.
Right around the corner of the front entrance is for the pet lover in fans, as Middendorf Animal Hospital presents the "pet board". Here Freedom fans can show off pictures of their pets by pinning them on the cork board!
Fans 21 and over can make their way down the first base line to enjoy the new Stonebrook Winery Wine Bar featuring specialty local wines from Stonebrook Winery. Around the corner is the new Pinnacle Vodka Pub, where new Pinnacle Vodka fish bowl mixed drinks can be had. Fans can also stand in amazement at the new "Bottoms Up" beer pouring system inside the first base bar.
A few more steps down the right field line is the Christian Moerlein Lager Shack. Here, fans can enjoy pub food and specialty beer from the local Christian Moerlein brewery.
Across the park, down the 3rd base line, families can have their fun. The Freedom invested tens of thousands of dollars this offseason to spruce up the Airheads Kids Zone. This includes the addition of turf and safety rubber bits under the play set. To top it all off, the 3-story Belle Belly Bouncer, presented by Toyota, towers over it all and is a can't miss!
Another new fun attraction is the radar gun speed of pitch machine. Located down the 3rd base line near the Fantasy in Frosting Birthday Bash area, fans can test their arms and see if they are the top dawgs in the park that night!
Fun new food options at the ballpark this season include a humongous pork fritter down in the Ferrellgas Hot Corner Grill. Kona Ice will be in the house each night serving up shaved ice near the kids zone. Fried pickles and hot wings can be enjoyed down in the Christian Moerlein Lager Shack.
New promotions, enhanced fun, same family value including free parking. The Freedom are so much more than baseball and look forward to hosting fans in UCMC Stadium this season.
The Freedom are members of the Independent Frontier League and play all home games at UCMC Stadium, located at 7950 Freedom Way in Florence, Kentucky. The Freedom can be contacted for tickets at 859-594-HITS (4487).
