The Open House, sponsored by Buckley Radio, is a free event, with the donation of two non-perishable food items at the door. The food will be donated to the Kern County Food Bank. The team will be on the field that day from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. After that, fans can meet the players and get autographs. The 2004 Blitz Girls will also be on hand mingling and meeting fans.

Season tickets will be available for pickup for the first time on Thursday. In addition, a pick-a-seat event will be held, with prime available seats tagged for season ticket purchase. Individual tickets for the home opener on Saturday, April 17th against the San Diego Riptide go on sale also. Tickets start at just $7. There will also be entertainment for the kids, with bounce houses courtesy of Kiddie Amusements, a magician and clown as well.

"Open House will be a great start to the season before we kickoff at home," said Blitz GM Chris Freshour. "It's hard to believe the season is already underway with all the work that had to be done, but we're ready to go. We hope to see all our season ticket holders out at the Garden to watch the boys in action."

The Blitz dropped their season opener to the Tennessee Valley Vipers on Saturday night, 60-35. In one of the highlights, QB Chad Elliott and OS Steve Wofford combined for the longest pass play in af2 history, connecting on a 49-yard touchdown pass play that started inside the Blitz one-yard line.

The Blitz will play on the road this weekend, as they travel to Fresno to play the Central Valley Coyotes at 7:30pm. They host their first home game of the season during Week 3 on Saturday, April 17 at 7:00pm against their old rivals, the San Diego Riptide. That night is magnet schedule giveaway for everyone in attendance and also includes a visit from the ZOOperstars, sponsored by WB-12, The Fox 98.5 and Whitewater Car Wash & Lube.
