Ontario, California - The Ontario Reign scored 8:30 into overtime to defeat the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 in game one of the second round series.

The Grizzlies have now gone nine-straight games without losing in regulation and all three playoff losses have come in overtime as they lose game 1 3-2 in overtime for the second-straight series.

Utah tied the game at one with a five-on-three power-play goal by Ryan Hayes (6) at 12:44 of the first period, 10:07 after Ontario took a 1-0 lead 2:37 into the game. Brenden Walker picked up an assist on the play. Hayes has now scored in all seven playoff games.
