
O'Malley, Rearick Join Biscuits; Liberatore to AAA

The Tampa Bay Rays have announced a series of roster moves for the Biscuits. LHP Adam Liberatore has been promoted to triple-A Durham, leaving the roster two-below the minimum. To fill those spots, IF Shawn O'Malley has been transferred from Durham to the Biscuits, and LHP Chris Rearick has been promoted to the Biscuits from A+ Charlotte.
O'Malley, 24, will begin his third stint with the Biscuits. He was hitting .245 in 67 games in his triple-A debut. Rearick, 24, will make his double-A debut after converting 20 of 22 save opportunities to the tune of a 1.79 ERA for A+ Charlotte.
The Biscuits active roster now meets the league-max of 25.
