
Omaha Beef To Open Training Camp This Evening

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef, professional indoor football team, will open their 2008 training camp this evening at 8 p.m. at the Omaha Sports Complex, 14706 Giles Road.
A host of talented players spanning the United States have come to Omaha to try and earn one of 30 spots on the Beef's roster. The list includes players who attended college around the region and across the country. Several players who attended the Beef's two-day tryout in January have returned.
The position-by-position breakdown is as follows:

Head Coach Steve Warren looks forward to training camp.
"We have good veterans coming back and some very exciting rookies and newcomers," Warren said. "The key to having a successful season is to get the old to mesh with the new and for them both to have a common belief in what we're teaching. That's what training camp is about, building character and chemistry for the rest of your season."
The team will practice throughout the weekend and the following weeks. All practices are open to the public and will be held at the Omaha Sports Complex. The Beef kick off their 2008 season on March 8th against the Billings Outlaws at 8:05 p.m. Mountain Time, 7:05 p.m. Central.
The Omaha Beef will open their 2008 home season versus the Bloomington Extreme on March 15, 2008. All home games will be played at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America.
