Storm Set Season Ticket Holder Record; Single Game Tickets On-Sale March 4

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) has set a franchise record for season ticket sales with three weeks left until the first home game. The Storm has sold 3,080 season tickets for the 2008 season, which is an increase of over 20% from last season. The Sioux Falls Arena holds 4,852 fans for football.

Storm Director of Ticketing Bekah Gale could not be more ecstatic, "This record shows us a couple things, first it proves our fans and sponsors are the best in the country and second is that the game of indoor football and our family friendly atmosphere is really resonating with fans." Gale expects the Storm to sell another 100-200 season ticket packages between now and the beginning of the season.

Storm fans that are not season ticket holders will be able to purchase single game tickets starting Tuesday, March 4 at 10 AM. Fans can purchase tickets at the Arena Box office, Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 334-8181 and online at www.ticketmaster.com. The Storm offers discounts for groups of 30 or more and tickets can be obtained by calling the Storm office at 332-4225.

The home opener for the Storm will be March 17 for a St. Patrick's Day celebration as the Colorado Ice enters the Sioux Falls Arena. On that night, the Storm will unveil their Championship Banner and award Championship Rings to players, coaches and staff. A couple other notable home games include Sioux City visiting the Storm Shelter on April 12, Billings visiting the Sioux Falls Arena on April 19, and RiverCity making its first ever trip to the Arena on May 10. Sioux City will make a return trip to Sioux Falls on May 3 and the Wichita Wild will make its first trip to the Arena on May 17. Training camp kicks off today as the Storm prepares for its season opener at Bloomington on Saturday, March 8. Season tickets for the 2008 season are on sale now.
