Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef have announced the signing of Marcus Barnett for the upcoming Indoor Football League season.
Barnett, a 6'1, 185 lb wide receiver, is a former Second-Team all-Big East Conference player out of Cincinnati. Barnett, a four year starter for the Bearcats, still holds the school record for touchdown receptions in a season with 13 during the 2007 campaign. Barnett played significant time on both sides of the ball as he started 10 games at defensive back during his senior season.
"Having the opportunity to sign a player like Marcus Barnett is an opportunity that you do not pass up," Beef head coach Bruce Cowdrey said. "Marcus is a total athlete and has extensive playing experience on both sides of the ball. We are thrilled to be able to add an athlete to our roster as versatile and talented as Marcus."
Omaha will begin preparation for the 2012 Indoor Football League season when training camp opens on February 13.
