
Omaha Beef Raise Over 6,000 Diapers For Channel 94.1's Diaper Drive

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef, professional indoor football team, raised 6,035 diapers for KQCH, Channel 94.1's Diaper Drive to benefit the Lydia House of Omaha.
The Beef raised the diapers at their first-ever "Meat The Beef" event at Heidelberg's Omaha, 3510 N. 167th Circle. The event was co-sponsored by CBS Home/Triton Homes and American Family Insurance.
Heidelberg's was packed full of Beef fans, Beef players and coaches, Rump Roasters, Prime Dancers and representatives from the Beef front office. New Beef merchandise was on sale at the event and fans had an opportunity to get team autographs and also interact with players, coaches and staff.
Beef Team President Dakota Crow thanks the fans for their support of the team and the Lydia House.
"We have the best fans in football and are pleased that so many of them were able to make out to Heidelberg's last night," Crow said. "Our players, coaches, dancers and fans came through once again to raise over six thousand diapers for the Lydia House. We're proud to be a part of Channel 94.1's efforts. The Beef family extends our warmest holiday wishes to the entire Omaha community and we look forward to an amazing 2008."
As of this morning, 238,765 diapers had been raised for the Lydia House. According to their website, The Lydia House is Open Door Mission's emergency services for single women and families.
The Omaha Beef will begin their ninth season in professional indoor football in March 2008. All home games will be played at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America.
