
Omaha Beef Player Tryouts this Weekend

The Omaha Beef and Iowa Blackhawks will be hosting a joint open tryout Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th at the Mid-America Center. The Mid-America Center is located at One Arena Way in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Player registration will be from noon-1pm on Saturday, with tryouts taking place from 1pm-4pm. Individuals can register the day of tryouts for $60. Pre-registration is $50. To receive a registration form via email or fax, please call (402) 346-2333.
All players involved will participate in various non-contact speed, agility, and strength drills. First day (1/24) drills will include 10 & 20 yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, and strength . The second day (1/25) will include 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 drills. No kickers will be needed either day.
Tryouts will be held indoors on turf, so only turf or running shoes should be worn. Please, no cleats. Appropriate attire for non-contact drills includes t-shirts, shorts, etc.
"The tryouts have always provided a good measuring stick for our veterans. It also provides the unique opportunity to find diamonds in the rough." said Head Coach, James Kerwin.
The BEEF are celebrating their 10th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, NE. Home games are played March through July. All home games start at 7:00pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America.
