Omaha Beef News Release

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef professional indoor football team will head south and take on their orange and black rival, the Wichita Wild Saturday at the Kansas Coliseum in a key non-conference battle. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The 8-3 BEEF have already defeated the 2-9 Wild twice this season: 31-24 on April 10th in Wichita and 67-16 on May 3rd in Omaha.

With just three weeks remaining in the regular season, the BEEF look to get a big non-conference win as they continue fighting for home-field advantage in the UIF playoffs.

Offense/Special Teams Coordinator Tommie Williams says the game is an important one and the BEEF shouldn't overlook Wichita despite their record.

"Every game from here on out is a must-win game for us," Williams said. "We are familiar with Wichita having played them twice already this season. They are a good team and we will have to execute all facets of our game to win this one."

After this game, the BEEF will hit the road once again to take on the Bloomington Extreme on Saturday, June 7th, at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum with kickoff scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The BEEF's final home game of the season will be June 14 against their bitter rival, the Sioux City Bandits with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.

The BEEF are in their ninth year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, NE. Home games are played March through June. All home games start at 7:00pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America. The Omaha Beef are committed to making a positive difference in the Omaha area through football, fun and community service.
