The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced today that Stars forward Dashel Oliver has been named to the All-Academic Team for the 2022-23 season for his performance in the classroom.
The Bloomington, Ind. native recorded 13 points (7+6) in 48 games in his second season with the Stars. The 18-year-old earned a 4.3 GPA in high school while taking online classes this season through the University of Nebraska High School. Oliver attended Oak Park River Forest High School in Chicago for his freshman and sophomore years.
"Staying on top of my education has always been important for me," Oliver said. "Making the team is great because I believe it proves I've put the work in these past years."
Oliver will be at the Stars' main camp from June 7-10 at the John Breslow Ice Hockey Center. Main camp is free for fans to attend.
