TACOMA, WA. - OL Reign fell 3-0 to NJ/NY Gotham FC at Cheney Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the second loss Gotham this season. 3,007 fans turned out for the Pride Match presented by Starbucks on a sweltering 97-degree afternoon.
OL Reign had six chances in the first 30 minutes of the match - two from Shirley Cruz and Megan Rapinoe, and one from Jess Fishlock and Eugénie Le Sommer, but none of the shots were directed on target.
Gotham forward Ifeoma Onumonu opened the scoring in the 38th minute, with her left-footed shot assisted by forward Margaret Purce. The possession was evenly split between the teams for the remainder of the half, but neither team found the back of the net.

Following the break, Gotham found a second goal in the 60th minute, when Margaret Purce finished a ball in the box, served by former Reign forward Nahomi Kawasumi. Looking to strike back immediately, Rapinoe delivered a shot in the 62nd minute, but missed just to the left of the goal.
Gotham scored their third and final goal of the game in the 85th minute. Substitute Domi Richardson found the bottom right corner of the goal, assisted by Evelyne Viens. Down 3-0, OL Reign managed to tally four more shots on goal before the final whistle, but were unable to convert.
