OL Reign Announces 2022 Challenge Cup Schedule, Tickets Now Available

SEATTLE, WA - OL Reign has announced its full schedule for the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup. The 2022 Challenge Cup features three regional groups of four teams. OL Reign has been placed into the West region, a group that also features Portland Thorns FC and the two 2022 expansion teams, Angel City FC and San Diego Wave FC.

The groups will compete in double round-robin matches ahead of the semifinal round and NWSL Challenge Cup Final on Saturday, May 7. Details regarding broadcast schedule for the tournament are forthcoming.

OL Reign will kickoff its tournament on Friday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. PT with a home opener at Lumen Field against Portland Thorns FC. The following weekend, OL Reign will travel to Titan Stadium at California State Fullerton to take on Angel City FC on Saturday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. PT. The team plays another road match on Saturday, April 2 at Providence Park against Portland Thorns FC at 7:00 p.m. PT before returning back to Lumen Field on Thursday, April 14 to square off against San Diego Wave FC at 7:00 p.m. PT.

OL Reign rounds out the group stage of the tournament with a match at 4:00 p.m. PT against Angel City FC at Lumen Field on Sunday, April 17 and a match against San Diego Wave FC at Torero Stadium on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. PT.

"I'm really looking forward to Challenge Cup," said OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey. "I'm glad that it's regionalized and that our travel isn't huge. I think it'll be a good opportunity for us to see where we are at in regard to our roster in preparation for the regular season."
