Kevin Richardson hit a game tying home run in the seventh inning, and the RedHawks added five more runs in the frame to build a 9-4 lead, but the Sky Sox plated five runs in the eighth to tie the game. Nate Gold singled to lead off the last inning and scored on a double by Chris Shelton, his third hit of the game. Bill White pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win, and Wes Littleton finished with a scoreless 11th for the save.

STREAKING NEWS: Nelson Cruz singled in the seventh inning last night to extend his hitting streak to eight games. Jason Ellison had three hits and is now riding a seven game hitting streak. John Mayberry went 0-6 at the plate and saw his second longest hitting streak as a RedHawk snapped at eight games.

ERA UPDATE:

The RedHawks team earned run average climbed 0.27 during this recent road trip, from 4.10 to 4.37. Oklahoma allowed 62 earned runs over 72.1 innings pitched for a staff ERA of 7.71 during the eight-game trip. The RedHawks have allowed 124 earned runs this month, half of which were surrendered during that last eight days.

PACIFIC FOES:

Oklahoma's 5-3 road trip completed their portion of the schedule against teams from the Pacific North. The RedHawks went 8-8 this season against the division. Oklahoma heads into this home stand against Las Vegas and Tucson with an 11-13 mark against the Pacific Conference, including a 3-5 record during the May homestand against Sacramento and Fresno.

RAMIREZ REACHES TRIPLE-A:

Max Ramirez was promoted to the RedHawks Roster earlier today. The 23 year-old catcher is two days removed from his first stint in the Majors with Texas. Ramirez began the year with Frisco and hit .363 with 17 home runs and 50 runs batted in prior to a promotion to the Rangers when Gerald Laird was placed on the disabled list in June. The Venezuelan-born catcher played 13 games for Texas and hit .233 with a pair of home runs and a run batted in prior to getting optioned to Frisco on Sunday.

REDHAWK HOME RUN KING:

Nelson Cruz became the RedHawks all-time, single season home run leader on July 19 with a three home run game. Cruz passed Steve Balboni's total during the 1993 season for second-most in Oklahoma's Triple-A history with his 37th home run in the seventh inning on Sunday. Dave Roberts holds first place with 38 home runs during the 1965 season.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

21 of the 32 runs Oklahoma allowed in the series at Colorado Springs were surrendered in the eighth or ninth innings... Ryan Roberts had his contract purchased by Texas yesterday when Hank Blalock went on the 15-day disabled list. Roberts pinch hit for Milton Bradley in the eighth inning and struck out... Texas transferred Nick Trzesniak to Frisco to provide the RoughRiders with another catcher... Nelson Cruz is five runs batted in shy of tying Nate Gold's RedHawks record 103 RBI set last season. Cruz passed Scott Sheldon (97 in 1999) and Tom Quinlan (97 in 1998) last night and is tied for ninth all-time in Oklahoma City's Triple-A history, matching Keith Moreland's 1978 total.
