Allowed 1 R on 5 H with 2 BB and 5 K over 5.0 IP in 5/20 win @ OMA (8-2 IWA) LAST GAME: The RedHawks notched their second shutout of the season with a 6-0 win in Iowa last night. Taylor Teagarden and Jason Botts drove in two runs apiece, and every RedHawk in the lineup except Jason Ellison had at least one hit. Robinson Tejeda notched his first win as a starter this season, striking out eight over six innings.

POWER UP AND ROLL ON: Taylor Teagarden extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a home run in the second inning last night. The two-run shot built up the RedHawks lead to 3-0 at the time. The Oklahoma catcher added a single and two walks to his tallies and is hitting .356 with two home runs and eight runs batted in during the streak. Teagarden has also walked 12 times during the string.

ERA LIMBO: Oklahoma starters have an ERA of 1.57 over the last seven games, allowing eight earned runs over the last 46 innings. Robinson Tejeda has made two starts during that span, while Steve Rowe Dustin Nippert, Elizardo Ramirez, Eric Hurley, and A.J. Murray have each started once. RedHawks starters have only walked 11 batters over that span, four of which came in Nippert's start on Monday against New Orleans.

DAVIS PROMOTED: Texas promoted infielder Chris Davis to Oklahoma from Frisco earlier today. Davis was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 draft out of Navarro College in Corsicana, TX. He was hitting .335 with 13 home runs and 42 runs batted in for the RoughRiders after 45 games played this season. Those numbers ranks as the sixth best average, most home runs, and second most runs batted in thus far this season in the Texas League. Davis is the reigning Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year for his efforts in 2007 when he hit 37 home runs combined between Bakersfield and Frisco.

MENDOZA MENDS HERE: Luis Mendoza will join the RedHawks for a rehab assignment starting tomorrow in Iowa. Mendoza is currently on the Rangers disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, but is also suffering from blisters on his pitching hand. He will replace Elizardo Ramirez in the rotation tomorrow, but Ramirez is still expected to pitch on Memorial Day as well.

Iowa AT A GLANCE: With last night's loss, the I-Cubs had an eight-game home winning streak snapped, just two shy of matching the club record... Iowa slipped into third place in the division with the loss and an Omaha win... The I-Cubs were shutout for the first time since a 5-0 loss against Round Rock on May 6... Friday's shutout was the fourth thrown this month by the Iowa pitching staff.

DOT-DOT-DOT: The RedHawks starting pitching staff has lowered its combined ERA a half a run over the last seven starts, from 4.54 to 4.04. The team's overall earned run average has dropped 40 points during that span from 4.54 to 4.14.... The RedHawks last shutout was also a 6-0 win, May 2 in Tacoma... Robinson Tejeda lowered his ERA to 1.11 in four starts for Oklahoma.... Ryan Roberts is riding a five-game hitting streak.

TIME CHANGE: Oklahoma's game on June 1 with Omaha is now slated for a 2:05 pm first pitch.
