LAST GAME: Oklahoma dropped a 13-5 final to the Fresno on Mother's Day. The RedHawks losing streak was extended to five games as the Grizzlies knocked a season-best 20 base hits in scoring a season-high 13 runs. Fresno took an early 1-0 lead in the second, added a run in the fourth, and roughed up Oklahoma starter A.J. Murray for three runs in the fifth before the RedHawks plated their first run. The RedHawks bullpen took over in the sixth and promptly allowed two runs in the sixth and a season-high six runs in the eighth. The RedHawks added their final four runs in the eighth inning. Byrd and Jason Botts walked to lead off the inning and both scored on a double by Nate Gold, his third of four hits in the game. Gold scored on a triple by Taylor Teagarden, who subsequently came home on a single by Casey Benjamin to close out the scoring.

FIVE DOWN: The RedHawks five game losing streak is their longest stretch of winless baseball since late last season when the team fell in seven straight from August 25 through 31. The 2007 RedHawks had two five game losing streaks in addition to the seven game run, losing five straight from July 5 through 12 and August 10 through 14.

RISING ERA: The RedHawks team ERA jumped from 4.16, fourth best in the PCL, to 4.40, now ninth overall. Oklahoma starting pitchers have compiled a 4.39 earned run average over 209 combined innings (109 earned runs allowed), while the relievers ERA is 4.42 (61 earned runs over 124.1 innings) this season. This marks the first time all year that the relievers have a high earned run average that the starters.

MATHIS MOVES UP: Doug Mathis had his contract purchased by the Rangers yesterday and will make his way to the Major League for the first time in his career. The right-hander has been among the PCL leaders in victories and innings pitched all season long and has the distinction of being the first pitcher in the league to win three, four, and five games respectively. Mathis was slated to start today, thus creating the need for Steve Rowe to make his second spot start of the year. Rowe's last start came on April 28 in Portland, a game that listed Sidney Ponson as the probable RedHawks starter prior to his contract being purchased by Texas.

FRESNO AT A GLANCE: The Grizzlies have won at least two consecutive games for the seventh time this season. All of their wins have come in these streaks, which range as short as two games to as long as five games... Yesterday's game was the longest nine-inning game the Grizzlies have played in this season.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Texas lost 12-6 to Oakland... Frisco had the day off... Bakersfield edged Stockton 7-6 in 10 innings... Clinton beat Peoria 12-4.

DOT-DOT-DOT: The RedHawks have not led a ballgame since game one of Thursday's doubleheader (4-3 lead after four innings) and have not led after six innings since May 5 (1-0 lead at Tacoma in a 2-1 loss)... Oklahoma has not scored first in any game this homestand after having scored first in every game on its most recent eight game road trip... Nelson Cruz will be held out of the starting lineup for the third straight game while nursing a shoulder injury.

ON THE AIR: Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka.
