Sounds Open Homestand On Thursday Night

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return home to Greer Stadium to open an eight-game homestand this Thursday night, when they'll host series against the New Orleans Zephyrs and the cross-state division-rival Memphis Redbirds.

The first game of a four-game series against New Orleans will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be a Thirsty Thursday, which means fans can enjoy $1 draft beverages until 8:30 p.m. or the 5th inning, whichever comes first. Our Miller Lite Concert series will continue with a free one-hour, pre-game show by Delilah Why on the stage inside the first-base entrance. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

The second game of the series with the Zephyrs will start a 7:00 p.m. on Friday with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Friday is Fireworks Night, which means there will be another dazzling fireworks display immediately following the game, presented by Your Select Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealers.

Saturday's game starts at 6:00 p.m., and it will also be a Fireworks Night, with fireworks immediately following the game. Saturday will also be Sounds Go Green Night, sponsored by TVA Green Power Switch. The Sounds will be sporting green jerseys during the game to raise awareness about energy conservation.

The final game of the series with New Orleans will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday with gates opening at 12:30 p.m. A Sunday home game means another Purity Sundae Sunday with $1 ice cream sundaes available at Greer Stadium.

The Sounds will open a four-game series against the Memphis Redbirds on Monday at 6:00 p.m. Monday is Red Hot Chicago Dollar Dog Night where hot dogs are only $1 at all concession stands. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday's game starts at 6:00 p.m. with the gates opening at 4:30 p.m. The second game of the series will be Popcorn, Indiana 2-for-1 Tuesday where fans who present a receipt showing the purchase of a 4 oz. bag of Popcorn, Indiana Kettlecorn from Walgreen's will receive two tickets for the price of one for every Tuesday home game. Also, Tuesday will be HealthSpring Senior Day. All fans ages 65 and older will receive free admission to the game, courtesy of HealthSpring.

The final game of the homestand will take place on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Greer Stadium. Thirsty Thursday means fans can enjoy $1 draft beverages until 8:30 p.m. or the 5th inning, whichever comes first, and the Miller Lite Concert series will continue with a free one-hour, pre-game show by Delilah Why on the stage inside the first-base entrance. Fans will also have the chance to try products from Popcorn, Indiana with free samples as they leave the stadium after the game. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Following the homestand, the Sounds will travel to Memphis for another four-game series against the Redbirds and then move on to Albuquerque before returning to Greer Stadium on Saturday, May 31 to begin another eight-game homestand.
