The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz are looking for their first road win of the 2008 season and travel to Corpus Christi, TX, to challenge the Sharks at American Bank Center on Saturday, June 7th.
The Dawgz will look to slow down Corpus Christi's Ivory McCann. McCann is in the top five in seven af2 categories, including kick return yards (1,007) and TDs (3) and missed field goal return yards (132) and TDs (1). McCann also leads the Sharks defense with 46.5 total tackles and 3 interceptions.
The Yard Dawgz are one of the least penalized teams in the league, averaging only 51.0 penalty yards per game compared to their opponents who average 71.0 penalty yards per game. Oklahoma City's Ben Scott is 7th in the league in field goals (5-of-11).
Corpus Christi is a much improved team compared to this time one year ago. The Sharks started their inaugural 2007 season 1-9 and finished at 6-10. Oklahoma City came away with a 76-42 victory in the only prior meeting between the teams (4/14/07).
