Oklahoma City Wins Over El Paso

The El Paso Chihuahuas lead all of professional baseball in hits but they were held to only four in their 7-2 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers Thursday. The Dodgers have won two of the first three games of the series.

The Chihuahuas' two runs came on Eguy Rosario's two-run home run in the second inning, his second homer in as many games. It was Rosario's 11th home run this season, eight of which came in June. El Paso pitcher Matt Waldron allowed five earned runs in 4.1 innings in his first Triple-A start. Chihuahuas reliever Aaron Northcraft threw only nine pitches in his 1-2-3 ninth inning.

El Paso designated hitter Robinson Canó went 0-for-4, ending his 14-game hitting streak. The Chihuahuas have lost four of their last five games and went 14-12 in June.
