Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers begin a seven-game homestand with a three-game series against the Salt Lake Bees starting at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers finished their West Coast road trip 4-3, with four wins in the final six games.
Last Game: Tuesday was a league-wide day off. On Monday, a game chock full of late-inning drama resulted in a 5-4 win in 10 innings for the Dodgers over the Fresno Grizzlies. After each team scored two runs in the ninth inning, Andrew Toles started the 10th inning on second base for the Dodgers, advanced to third on an error, then scored when Alex Verdugo collected a RBI by grounding into a force out at second base to take the lead. After letting a two-run lead slip away in the bottom of the ninth, Joe Broussard (4-1) struck out the first two batters he faced in the bottom of the inning. He issued a walk to Derek Fisher before striking out Jack Mayfield to seal the Oklahoma City win. The Dodgers took the game's first lead in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Rob Segedin. Fresno knotted the game, 1-1, in the bottom of the inning when Mayfield connected on a solo homer. A home run by Travis Taijeron regained the lead for the Dodgers in the third inning. Fresno tied the game, 2-2, in the fifth inning on a RBI double by Mayfield. Oklahoma City broke the tie in the top of the ninth inning on a two-out RBI double by Segedin and added a RBI single by Angelo Mora for a 4-2 advantage. Fresno answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning and had the bases loaded with one out, but Broussard got Tyler White to hit into an inning-ending double play. Fresno reliever Andrew Thome (4-2) allowed the eventual winning run in the top of the 10th inning and was charged with the loss.
