Tulsa Oilers News Release
Two more forwards have now signed with the Tulsa Oilers for the 2006-07, including a right winger who finished last season with a scoring flourish.
Mike Lukajic, who scored 11 goals in just 16 games for the Oilers last season after coming to the team in a trade with Corpus Christi has agreed to terms with the team, as has rookie forward J.F. Savage.
"Mike came in and produced for us right away, and we are excited to see what he can do in a full season. He has an NHL caliber shot that should produce a lot of goals." coach Butch Kaebel said. "And J.F. is a hard worker with lots of speed, who's going to be a great role player. We look for J.F. to be very effective."
Lukajic, 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, had goals in his first four games as an Oiler and had a hat trick last season on his 25th birthday, February 28th at Memphis.
Savage, 5-foot-11, 198 pounds, is only 22 and played his junior hockey in Quebec.
Oiler season tickets for the 2006-07 season are now on sale. The prices are the same as the 2005-06 season, ranging from $300 to $475. The Oilers have also instituted an automatic payment plan to make purchasing season tickets even easier and more convenient. Also new this year is a 10 game flex pack.
