
Blazers Re-Sign Dumba

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League signed veteran forward Jared Dumba (dum-buh), Blazers head coach Doug Sauter announced today.
Dumba, a 6-0, 205-pounder from Dysart, Saskatchewan is entering his sixth season as a Blazer and eighth overall. Last season with the Blazers, Dumba was second on the club in scoring with 69 points (28-41-69). His 41 assists was good for the team lead in that category. In the Blazers' seven-game playoff series with the Colorado Eagles, Dumba led the team in scoring with eight points (3-5-8).
He enters this season with 191 points (92-99-191) in 196 games as a Blazer. That puts him in the top 15 in several offensive categories on the Blazers all-time list, including ranking 8th in goals (92), 11th in points (191), 13th in games played (196), and 15th in assists (99). For his career, he has recorded 348 points (167-181-348) in 351 games played.
"I'm looking for continued production from Jared," said Sauter. "He is the fourth veteran signed for this season and in order to win our league, we need production from our veterans. I expect him to be one of our best players and to be a leader for our club."
The addition of Dumba brings the number of players signed for the 06-07 season to 11. He joins veterans Tyler Fleck, Marty Standish and Peter Robertson as well as defenseman Mike Burgoyne, Dale Butland and Rodney Sundquist forwards Graham Dearle and Garrett Prosofsky and goaltenders Sean Connors and Justin Day.
