Tulsa Oilers News Release
*Royal Visit:* The Tulsa Oilers host the Mississippi RiverKings tonight, in the second game of a three game homestand for the Oilers.
*Records: *Oilers are 8-14-3 with 19 points in fourth place in the Northeast Division.
Mississippi is 16-11-0 for 32 points in third place in the Northeast Division.
*Season Series: *This is the third of seven meetings between these two teams. Mississippi leads the season series, having won 3-1 in Mississippi on November 18^th and 6-4 in Tulsa on November 21^st .
*Recent Action: *Both teams played last night and neither team won. The Oilers lost 6-3 to Wichita here at the BOK Center, and Mississippi also lost on its home ice, dropping a 4-3 regulation decision to Oklahoma City.
*Piling On:* Jeff Christian had a goal and assist for the Oilers last night, marking the 13^th time this season he's had more than one point in a game. He leads the Oilers in scoring with 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 points.
*Friday Lightning:* The Oilers first two goals last night came just 28 seconds apart. It marked the second straight Friday Tulsa has scored two goals in less than 30 seconds. On November 19^th at Bossier-Shreveport, the Oilers scored two goals 18 seconds apart (and a third goal in just 2:37)
*First Timer:* Defenseman R.J. Linder scored his first Oiler goal last night in the first period. It marked the second consecutive home game an Oiler defenseman has scored his first Tulsa goal, as Cody Hamilton had his first professional goal last Saturday against Bossier-Shreveport.
*Rolling Again: *Right winger Michel Beausoleil has the current longest point streak in the CHL with points in five straight games. He has four goals and three assists for seven points in that stretch. From October 18^th to December 6^th he had points in 17 straight games, tied for the longest streak in the league this season. Except for two games, Beausoleil has had at least one point in every game he's played this season
*Time Change:* The Oilers game at Wichita next Wednesday (New Year's Eve) will start at 5:05 p.m.
*Next Up: *The Oilers host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. Mississippi will host Bossier-Shreveport the following night in its next game.
