
Oilers Rookie Drew Fisher Named CHL Second Star of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ - The Central Hockey League announced today its "Oakley Three Stars of the Month" for January and Oilers forward Drew Fisher was selected as the Second Star.
Fisher finished a stellar month of January by chipping in two goals and an assist in the Oilers 4-3 shootout victory over the Denver Cutthroats on Tuesday night at the BOK Center. The 25-year old left-wing earned three first star of the game honors in January and ended the month with a total of eight goals and four assists. Fisher, who has appeared in every single Oilers game this season, notched his first professional hat-trick on January 20 against Wichita. With 23 points on the season, the International Falls, Minnesota native ranks eighth in the league in rookie scoring.
Fort Worth's John Snowden took home the title of First Star of the Month while Arizona forward Chad Nehring got the nod for Third Star.
Players are awarded five points for being a game's first star, three points for being named the second star and a single point for being named the third star of the game.
