
Fort Worth's John Snowden Leads Oakley Three Stars for January

GLENDALE, AZ (January 30, 2013) - Fort Worth Brahmas forward John Snowden, Tulsa Oilers forward Drew Fisher and Arizona Sundogs forward Chad Nehring have been named the "ËOakley Three Stars' for the month of January/2013.

Players are awarded five points for being a game's first star, three points for being named the second star and a single point for being named the third star of the game. Keep up with the season-long standings and quest to be the Oakley Three Star Player of the Year at www.centralhockeyleague.com.
The season-long race has Missouri's Sebastien Thinel leading by three points over Allen's Darryl Bootland and Arizona's Chad Nehring.
First Star - John Snowden, F, Fort Worth Brahmas
Snowden led all skaters in January with 12 goals scored and 19 points. He was a +8 and helped his team win nine of 11 games during the month. The veteran was named the first star once and the second star of the game four times totaling 17 points. A late December pick-up for the Brahmas, Snowden has scored 14 goals with 11 assists in 17 games with the Brahmas.
Second Star - Drew Fisher, F, Tulsa Oilers
Fisher had a breakthrough month with three first star nods good for 15 points. The rookie scored eight of his 11 goals on the season in January and finished the month with 12 points. On the season, the International Falls, Minnesota native had 11 goals with 12 assists and ranks eighth in the league in rookie scoring.
Third Star - Chad Nehring, F, Arizona Sundogs
Nehring was a star in a game during the month of January five times earning the first star twice, the second star once and the third star twice. He finished the month with seven goals and five assists in 11 games played. Nehring is second in the league with 25 goals on the season and ranks just outside the league's top 10 in scoring with 43 points.
