Tulsa Oilers News Release
*Looking For Three:* The Tulsa Oilers continue a five game homestand tonight, looking for their third consecutive victory, as they host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
*Records: *Oilers are 11-20-5 for 27 points in fourth place in the Northeast Division.
Bossier-Shreveport is 22-12-3 for 47 points tied for second place in the Northeast Division.
*Season Series: *This is the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams. Bossier-Shreveport has won the previous six, with one shootout victory, and one overtime victory so the Oilers record in the head to head series is 0-4-2. Bossier-Shreveport won the most recent meeting, 5-4 in Tulsa on January 16th.
*Recent Action: *The Oilers overcame a 3-1 third period deficit and defeated the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Tuesday. It was the second straight game the Oielrs had won when trailing after two periods. Bossier-Shreveport is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss at Oklahoma City last Saturday night.
*Quadruplets:* Four Oiler players all had a goal and assist Tuesday. Jeff Christian and Brendon Hodge scored third period goals to force the tie, then both assisted on Jake Riddle's overtime goal. Riddle had set up Christian's goal. Brett McConnachie also had a goal and assist in the game.
*Still Streaking: *McConnachie's two points the other ngiht give him a four game point scoring streak with three goals and four assists for seven point in that span.
*Killing Time:* The Oilers penalty kill has now gone there complete games without giving up a power play goal. Tulsa has killed off 16 straight opponent's power plays.
*Next Up: *The Oilers conclude this five game homestand tomorrow against Oklahoma City at 7:35 p.m. Prior to the game, the Oilers will retire jersey number nine in honor of Doug Lawrence, the Oilers all time leader in games played, penalty minutes, assists, and points. He ranks number one on the CHL penalty minute list, number one in assists and number two in scoring. The first 15 hundred fans will also receive a Doug Lawrence bobblehead courtesy of Miller Lite. Bossier-Shreveport Hosts Rio Grande Valley on Saturday.
