Tulsa Oilers News Release
Jeffrey Dotson was less than one-year-old when his mentor was surprisingly pulled from goal in Salt Lake City and the door opened for the "Miracle on Ice." 24 years later, Vladislav Tretiak's pupil is a Tulsa Oiler.
"He's a classic," says Oilers coach Butch Kaebel. "He's trained with Tretiak for years, he's an All-American and a lot of teams in the CHL were after him."
Dotson not only trained under the legendary Soviet goalie, he shares at least one physical trait, "Jeff's real big and will cover a lot of net," notes Kaebel. Measuring in at 6'3" and 200 pounds, along with Evan Lindsay's 6'2" frame, the Oilers will have one of the biggest goaltending corps in the Central Hockey League.
Kaebel adds, "What else can you say about the guy, I personally saw him work out, his stats are great, we're all really looking forward to seeing him compete."
