Tulsa Oilers News Release
*Bring Down the Thunder:* The Tulsa Oilers host the Wichita Thunder tonight in a match up of two of the teams who formed the rejuvenated Central hockey league in 1992.
*Records: *Oilers are 0-3-1 with 1 point in fourth place in the Northeast Division.
Wichita is 3-3-0 for 6 points in second place in the Northwest Division.
*Season Series: *This is the first of 11 meetings between these two teams, and first of six at the BOK Center. The Oilers will face Wichita more than any other opponent and Wichita will visit the BOK Center more than any other team.
*Recent Action: *The Oilers gave up five second period goals last night as Bossier-Shreveport scored five power play goals in a 9-3 win. Wichita won its third straight game, taking a 3-1 decision over Rocky Mountain.
*Good Start:* Right winger Joe Budaj made his Oiler debut last night and assisted on Brendon Hodge's third period goal.
*And Speaking Of...:* Hodge, his goal last night was his third of the season and gave him points in all four games the Oilers have played this season. He leads the team with three goals and three assists for six points.
*Laying Down The Law: *Defenseman Jason Lawmaster picked up his second goal of the season last night. He has two goals and two assists and is the team's leading scorer among defensemen.
*Even Up:* The Oilers scored their first even strength goal of the season last night. In fact, all three goals were even strength as each team scored three times at even strength (Bossier-Shreveport had five power play goals and one shorthanded goal).
*Postgame Festivities:* Following tonight's game, fans will have the chance to visit with Oiler players and coach Dan Hodge in the One Ok Club (at the top of section 110). Following that, the gathering moves to C.J. Moloney's at 91^st and Aspen in Broken Arrow.
*Next Up: *The Oilers play at Bossier-Shreveport next Friday at 7:05 p.m. Their next home game is Saturday November 8 against Amarillo at 7:35 p.m. Wichita returns home tomorrow to take on Rapid City.
