Down To Best Of Three: The Tulsa Oilers meet the Oklahoma City Blazers for the ninth time of 11 meetings between the two Ford Turnpike Series rivals. The final three games of the series this season will all take place in Tulsa.

Records: Oilers are 20-18-3 with 43 points in fourth place in the Northwest Division. Oklahoma City is 25-17-2 for 52 points in second place in the Northwest Division.

Season Series: Tied four wins apiece. All of the games have been decided in regulation time, and the Oilers won the last meeting, 6-2 on January 22nd. The four wins each just begins to tell the story of how evenly these two teams have played each other. The Oilers have outscored Oklahoma City 33-32 in the head-to-head match-up. Oklahoma City has outshot the Oilers 305-288, a difference of just 17 shots spread over the previous eight games.

Last Night: The Oilers scored early but couldn't manage any more goals in a 4-1 loss at Odessa. Oklahoma Ciry rebounded from a loss to Colorado on Thursday night, and beat Colorado last night in the rematch, 7-3.

Lucky Seven?: The Oilers are shooting for their seventh straight home ice win tonight. Tulsa is 10-7-2 at home and hasn't lost at home since a 5-3 loss to Wichita on January 7th.

Welcome Back: The Oilers will have the services of Defenseman/left winger Shawn Futers again tonight. He has completed serving a four game league suspension stemming from an incident against Memphis on January 27th. Right winger Curtis Voth is sitting out his fifth game of a 12 game suspension as a result of actions in that game. He is eligible to return when the Oilers play at Lubbock on Feb. 23.

Next Up: American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union Local 514 present the Tulsa Public Schools Day game Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. when the Oilers take on the Youngstown SteelHounds. An estimated 5,000 students are expected to attend the game, which is also presented, in part by Spirit Bank, U.S. Cellular and the Oklahoma Lottery.
