THE SERIES
The RiverKings will try to sweep the three game set with the Steelhounds tonight after a 5-3 win last night. Don Parsons hat trick and pair of assists each from Ryan Campbell and Taras Foremsky led the way to the RiverKings fourth win in four tries against Youngstown this season. Memphis has outscored the Steelhounds 20-9 in those four games. After the game tonight, the two team will play four more times; all at the DeSoto Civic Center.
RIVERKINGS HERE AND THERE
Don Parsons' hat trick last night was his fourth of the season and the 36th of his career; 19 have been while with Memphis. The 4 hat tricks match a career high. He led the league with 4 hat tricks last season. It is the fourth time he has had 4 hat tricks in a season.
Parsons also extended his point streak to 6 games (9-3-12). He has at least one point in 14 of his last 16 games. He also has 11 goals in the last 8 games.
Ryan Watson had his 5 game assist streak snapped last night. Although, he did extend his point streak to 6 games (2-8-10) with his 3rd period goal.
Goalie Michael Dilorenzo is now 4-0 with 1.75 GAA and a .936 save percentage vs the Steelhounds this season.
With the win last night, Memphis has won back to back road games for the first time this season.
Defenseman Nick Fouts played for the first time since 12/20 last night after being activated from the 45-day IR.
