Oilers Announce First Round Playoff Schedule

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers are returning to the Central Hockey League playoffs for the first time in three years and will begin the postseason as the number seven seed against the second seeded Denver Cutthroats. The best-of-seven first round series is slated to start on Friday, April 4 at 7:35 p.m. at the BOK Center.

The full first round schedule is listed below:

Opening Round - Series "B" (best-of-7)

Denver Cutthroats (2) vs. Tulsa Oilers (7)

Game 1 - Fri., Apr. 4 - Denver at Tulsa, 7:35

Game 2 - Sat., Apr. 5 - Denver at Tulsa, 7:35

Game 3 - Wed., Apr. 9 - Tulsa at Denver, 7:00

Game 4 - Fri., Apr. 11 - Tulsa at Denver, 7:00

*Game 5 - Sat., Apr. 12 - Tulsa at Denver, 6:00

*Game 6 - Tue., Apr. 15 - Denver at Tulsa, 7:05

*Game 7 - Thu., Apr. 17 - Tulsa at Denver, 7:00

*If necessary

The Oilers and Cutthroats faced off six times during the regular season and Tulsa finished the season series with a 1-4-1 record against Denver. The two clubs clashed in the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon at the BOK Center with the Cutthroats earning a 2-0 victory.

The Oilers will hold a playoff press conference on Monday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of the BOK Center where Head Coach Bruce Ramsay and several Oilers players will discuss the playoff matchup against Denver.

Tulsa finished the 2013-14 season with an overall record of 34-29-3 and reached the 30-win plateau for the second time in Ramsay's tenure and just the second time in the last nine seasons.
