Tulsa Oilers News Release
Some familiar voices will greet Tulsa Oiler fans who listen to the team's two Central Hockey League games this weekend.
Former Oiler player and coach Larry McIntyre will provide the color
commentary for Friday's home game against the Bossier-Shreveport
Mudbugs and former defenseman Tom Karalis will handle the duties
Saturday when the Oilers host the Wichita Thunder. Both games start
at 7:35 at the BOK Center and can be heard via the internet at
www.tulsaoilers.com While familiar names will be behind the mic, a new face will be on
the ice. Oiler coach Dan Hodge has added right wing Jozef Budaj
(pronounced BOO-die) to the roster. In order to make room for Budaj,
the Oilers waived Jeff McDowall. Budaj's younger brother Peter is a
goaltender for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League. "We think Josef will come in and give some spark to our offense,"
Hodge said. "He's a skilled player."
