
Oilers Add Four to Roster

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League are pleased to announce the recent signings of Omar Pacha, Matt Robertson, Jason Weeks, and Scott Jenks.
Pacha, a 6'1" 210 pound defenseman, joins the Oilers after spending the 2010-2011 season with the Huntsville Havoc of the SPHL. In 56 games with the Havoc, Pacha scored 7 goals, tallied 27 assists and finished the season with a +7 rating. The native of Boucherville, Quebec spent three years at Castleton State College in Vermont and began his hockey career in his home province playing for the Lachine Maroons. "Omar was a first team All-Star in the SPHL," said Oilers Head Coach Bruce Ramsay. "With the success of Luke Lucyk after being called up from the SPHL last year, I'm confident Omar is going to have a big impact at the double-A level."
Both Robertson and Weeks are back in Tulsa after brief stints with the Oilers last season. Robertson, a 5'10" 170 pound center, appeared in five games for the Oilers last year. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native played for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the IHL in 2009-2010 and tallied 44 points in 76 games. Weeks suited up for the Oilers in 21 games last season and totaled four assists and ten penalty minutes. A 6'0" 200 pound forward, Weeks is the all-time leading goal scorer at Canisius College. During his outstanding four-year collegiate career, Weeks amassed 50 goals and 57 assists in addition to a school-best six shorthanded tallies. Ramsay is glad to see Robertson and Weeks return to Tulsa. "I fully expect Matt and Jason to take front line roles this season and help our team be successful," Ramsay said.
Jenks, a native of Bathurst, New Brunswick, is a former teammate of Weeks' at Canisius College. In the 2010-2011 season, Jenks senior year, he played in 37 games for the Griffins and notched three goals and three assists. Prior to college, the 5'10" 190 pound defenseman played one season with the Woodstock Slammers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. Jenks led all Slammers' defensemen with 26 assists and 30 points and earned the team's Top Defenseman Award. "Scott comes from a quality division one college program where he played a defensive role but he possesses an offensive upside and I know he's going to battle hard for the Tulsa Oilers," said Ramsay.
The Tulsa Oilers play their home opener at 7:35pm on October 28th against the Wichita Thunder at the BOK Center.
