Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oil Kings' General Manager Bob Green announced this afternoon the team has traded veteran forward Klarc Wilson to the Prince George Cougars in exchange for a third round draft pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.

Wilson is a 93-born forward who was originally drafted by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the first round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Wilson was acquired by the Oil Kings in December 2009 in exchange for veteran forward Brent Raedeke.

"We would like to thank Klarc for his contributions to our hockey club both on and off the ice." said Green. "We think he should have a great opportunity to take on a new role in Prince George and wish him all the best in the future."

The native of Edmonton posted career highs last season with 67 games played, 18 assists and 25 points. Wilson also added a five points and 13 PIMs in 14 playoff games to help the Oil Kings to their first WHL Championship in the modern era. Over his four-year WHL career, Wilson has posted 23 goals, 55 assists and 332 penalty minutes in 225 WHL games.
