Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings need your assistance this week in getting information out to the public about a change in the schedule. The Oil Kings game originally set for Sunday, November 29th against Moose Jaw Warriors will be held one day earlier. The game will now be played Saturday, November 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Rexall Place.

We need your help to get the word out to those fans who purchased tickets early with the original date still printed on the ticket. The Oil Kings hope to prevent people from showing up at Rexall Place on Sunday when there is no contest. Please get the word out to the public as often as you can the next few days leading up to the game. Thank you for your support so far this year and with your assistance in this matter.

Anyone who has already purchased a ticket to that game, or any Founders Club, Club Seat or Season Seat Holders who have been issued tickets are asked to keep the ticket dated for Sunday, November 29th. The Oil Kings will be allowing anyone with a ticket dated for Sunday into the game on Saturday November 28th. A new ticket will not be necessary.

The schedule change will free up Oil Kings fans to enjoy the Grey Cup on Sunday, and you will be able to enjoy another Celebrity Saturday. The Oil Kings will have members of the National Ringette team on hand for Ringette Night this Saturday. For information on Ringette Night and to purchase tickets to the game visit the team website at www.oilkings.ca.

There was also a raffle held where two lucky fans received a special jersey. The money raised will go to Prostate Cancer research.

SPECIAL JERSEYS STILL AVAILABLE AT ONLINE AUCTION: The Oil Kings will add to the grand total of money raised as well with five more special jerseys available in an online auction.Currently, those extra jerseys have raised an additional $1,900 for the cause.
