Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE started its weekend with a 5-2 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday night at Western Financial Place.

The ICE received goals from Martin Bodak and Jaeger White, while Peyton Krebs assisted on both goals and was named the game's first star. Brett Davis, and Brad Ginnell collected the other assists. Goaltender Duncan McGovern stopped 33-of-37 shots he faced.
