
Oil Kings Clinch Central Division Title and Top Spot in Eastern Conference

Based on the Western Hockey League's official decision to conclude the 2019-20 regular season due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday, the Edmonton Oil Kings have claimed the top record in the Eastern Conference and have been named Central Division champions.
Final standings for the 2019-20 regular season were determined by using win percentage for all member Clubs, in which the Oil Kings finished with the third highest in the WHL (.734%) with a record of 42-12-6-4 with 94 points in 64 games played.
While the 2019-20 regular season has concluded, the WHL continues to monitor ongoing public health developments regarding COVID-19 and maintains it will make every effort possible to conduct the 2020 WHL Playoffs at a later date.
