Oil Kings Acquire Draft Pick from Saskatoon

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired a conditional draft pick in the 2022 WHL Draft from the Saskatoon Blades, in exchange for defenceman Wyatt McLeod.

"The Oil Kings organization would like to thank Wyatt for his contribution both on and off the ice. Wyatt represented the Oil Kings with class and was a major part of our defensive core over the course of his career. We wish him nothing but success in Saskatoon and his future hockey journey", said Oil Kings President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kirt Hill.

McLeod, 20, posted 54 points (9G, 45A), 146 penalty minutes and a +28 plus/minus rating in 204 regular season games with the Oil Kings. He also played in 16 playoff games in the 2019 WHL Playoffs, recording seven points (4G, 3A), six penalty minutes and a +9 plus/minus rating.
