JUPITER, FL - Getting shutout at home is starting to become a theme for the Hammerheads. For the third time in the last four home games the Jupiter offense was kept off the scoreboard. This time it was Lakeland southpaw Josh Turley who shut down the Sharks as the Flying Tigers came away with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday at Roger Dean Stadium.

Turley limited the Hammerheads to a season-low two hits over eight innings. He struck out five and walked a pair as he earned his fourth win of the year.

Turley's was pulled from the game following the eighth inning after he had tossed 90 pitches but Jupiter had no better luck with Angel Nesbit who retired the side in order to earn his ninth save of the year.

The Hammerheads really had only one scoring opportunity on the night when Matt Juengel hit a leadoff ground rule double in the fifth, but he was stranded there when Turley retired the next three men in order.

Jupiter starter Austin Brice didn't do much worse than Turley but he ended up with a tough luck loss. Brice allowed just five hits, two of which came in the sixth inning when Lance Durham reached on a one-out single and two batters later when Austin Green lofted a single to left.

With two outs in the sixth and runners on the corners, Brice was pulled from the game in favor of Frankie Reed. Jared Robbins then pulled a single just over the glove of the diving first baseman Ryan Rieger to make it 1-0 Lakeland.

That one run would hold strong for the duration of the game.

The Hammerheads and Flying Tigers will continue their four-game series on Wednesday night. Trevor Williams will face off against Kevin Eichhorn in that game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

WP: Josh Turley (4-0)

LP: Austin Brice (3-5)

S: Angel Nesbitt (9)
