Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Bullfrogs enjoyed a spectacular offensive performance with 18 hits, as they defeated the Madison Mallards 10-2 on July 30 at Joannes Stadium.
Seven batters recorded multiple hits, including a four-hit performance by Robb Paller, who finished 4-for-5 with a walk, three RBIs and a run scored.
Alex Martinez earned the win to improve his record to 3-3 before he exited with an injury in the fifth inning.
Logan Regnier reached on an infield single to lead off the game, and Martinez's throwing error allowed Regnier to advance to third. Anthony Gonsolin dropped a single into shallow centerfield to put Madison on the board early.
Logan Taylor singled up the middle for the Bullfrogs in the bottom of the first and scored on Paller's triple down the right-field line to tie the game.
With runners at second and third in the third inning, Paul Jacobson hit an RBI single in between several Madison fielders in shallow centerfield, as Green Bay grabbed its first lead 2-1.
The Bullfrogs added to its lead when they sent 10 batters to the plate and scored four runs in the fifth. Ty Blankmeyer's single was out of the reach of second baseman J.J. Gould, as Jacobson scored.
With the bases loaded, Paller singled to leftfield to score two runs, and Regnier's throw home was off the mark as another run scored to give Green Bay a 6-1 advantage.
After allowing a single to Regnier to begin the sixth, Martinez took himself out of the game with an injury. Martinez allowed just one earned run on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings before he exited.
