Arkansas Travelers News Release

North Little Rock, AR-Three homeruns lifted the Arkansas Travelers to a 7-5 win over the Frisco RoughRiders in the series opener on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Last in the league in long balls, with 73 now, the homers brought the Travs back from an early four-run deficit. Joseph Odom hit the first two to knot the score and register his fourth career multi-homer contest. Joey Curletta then belted the go-ahead shot in the fifth inning before the bullpen registered four scoreless innings to finish it off. Nathan Bannister was charged with all five Frisco runs but worked five innings to pick up the victory and Matt Festa closed it out for his 15th save.

Moments That Mattered

* After a four-run top of the second by Frisco, Joseph Odom got the Travs right back in it with a three-run homer in the bottom of the inning.

* Joey Curletta bashed a 428-foot, two-run, go-ahead homer to center field in the fifth. It was his 22nd home run of the season, keeping him just one back of Tulsa's D.J. Peters for the league lead.

* Frisco cut the lead to one in the sixth inning and had runners at first and third with no one out. Matt Walker struck out Jeremi Profar and Odom picked Destin Hood off first for an unorthodox double play that stunted the RoughRiders' momentum and helped keep the Travs in front.

Notable Travs Performances

* 1B Joey Curletta: 1-2, 2 runs, 2 BB, HR, 2 RBI

* DH Dario Pizzano: 2-3, run, BB

* C Joseph Odom: 2-4, 2 runs, 2 HR, 4 RBI
