(Tempe, Arizona) - After being knocked down to the #2 spot for two consecutive polls, the Odessa Jackalopes have reclaimed their spot atop the Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll in what is the final poll of the 2009-10 season. The Jackalopes won the CHL Bud Poile Governors' Cup (regular season champs) and have the best record in the CHL at 48-11-5 and became the first team since 2004 (Laredo) to reach 100 points in a season (Odessa finished with 101 points). Odessa was voted the number one team all the way through the poll of February 3 before Rapid City, the current #2 team, claimed the top spot for two polls.

The #3 team, the Colorado Eagles, all the way through the #8 team, the Mississippi RiverKings remained unchanged from the previous poll with the Jacks and Rush flipping spots and the #9 Missouri Mavericks switching places with the #10 Corpus Christi IceRays accounting for the only changes.

True to form, the top 10 teams reflect the 10 CHL teams that qualified for the post-season.

The Jackalopes received 10 of the possible 15 first place votes with Rapid City earning three first place votes and Colorado earning two first place votes (teams are unable to vote for themselves). Each first place vote receives ten points, second place votes earn nine points, etc.
