Orange County SC News Release

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Orange County SC will journey north to the state capital to take on Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday night. In what is forecasted to be a hot summer night, OC are ready to take all three points from their hosts.

The hosts currently sit atop Group A with five points from four matches. OC sit in third in Group B, with five points from three matches. The two sides last played each other in October 2019, where OC were victorious in a five-goal thriller at Papa Murphy's Park.

KICKOFF AT 8PM PST

MATCH AVAILABLE ON ESPN+

Sacramento's last match was a 1-0 loss to Group B's Los Dos on Saturday, July 25.

Cameron Iwasa scored the last goal for Republic FC in a narrow victory over Reno on July 19. The goal marked the Sacramento native's 49th goal and he will look to become just the ninth player in USL history to reach the half-century mark.

This will be Orange County's first match outside of Group B since the restart.

After taking four from a possible six points in their first two matches back, OCSC will be full of confidence heading into their first away fixture.

The OC defense has only conceded one goal in three matches, and the dominant back line looks capable of continuing their success. Ugo Okoli opened his scoring account with OC on Saturday night and joined Kevin Coleman on the list of goal scorers in the young season.

OC face no selection issues going into this match.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. Pacific at Papa Murphy's Park in Sacramento. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ in the United States.
