Oberacker Leads Midland over RoughRiders

FRISCO, TEXAS (July 28, 2015) - Chad Oberacker reached base four times and scored three runs as the Midland RockHounds defeated the Frisco RoughRiders, 6-1, on Tuesday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Luis Marte had two hits and contributed the lone Frisco RBI.

Nick Williams extended his season-high hit streak to nine games with a single in the first inning. The reigning Texas League Player of the Week is hitting .361 for the month.

Midland drew two leadoff walks to begin the game. Back-to-back hits by Renato Nunez and Chad Pinder plated two runs to give the Hounds an early 2-0 lead.

The offense continued for Midland in the second inning when Nick Rickles crushed his first Double-A home run, a two-run blast, over the Diamond Deck in left field to extend the lead to four runs.

Frisco responded in the bottom half of the second. Drew Robinson led off with a double and scored on a single from Marte to cut the RockHounds lead to 4-1.

Midland (21-11, 56-46) plated two more runs as Oberacker crossed the plate in both the fourth and sixth innings to put the Hounds on top 6-1.

Frank Lopez (3-4) was dealt his fourth loss as he allowed five runs on seven hits in four innings. Parker Frazier (3-0) earned his third win, allowing one run on five hits over six innings.

Kris Hall and Tucker Healy combined to pitch three scoreless frames, and finished off the 6-1 victory over Frisco (17-14, 46-55).

The RoughRiders send LHP Chad Bell to the bump for the final contest of the three-game set. Midland will counter with RHP Jake Sanchez. It is another Weiner Wednesday where fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs all game long.
