Big 4th Inning Gives Missions Win over Hooks

CORPUS CHRISTI--The Missions set a season-high for runs and extra base hits while matching season-highs for hits and homers in Monday's series opener in front of 5,390 at Whataburger Field.

Griff Erickson, Yeison Asencio, and Luis Domoromo all homered. Erickson and Domoromo led a 17-hit attack with three hits each. Domoromo fell a triple shy of a cycle.

San Antonio erased a 4-0 deficit in the fourth inning when they sent 12 men to the plate and scored eight runs. It was their second biggest inning of the year, falling one shy of matching an eighth inning outburst on June 7.

Bryce Morrow worked 3.1 innings in relief of Justin Hancock to pick up the win.

The Missions are 8-9 against Corpus, which entered play with a minor league-leading 64 wins.

NOTES: San Antonio finished with eight extra base hits...Monday was the sixth time the club scored at least 10 runs but only the second time in 45 games.
