Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week Announced

December 14, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release


TEMPE, AZ (December 14, 2010) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa's Ian Keserich has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending December 12, 2010.

Keserich finished with a perfect week in two appearances stopping a total of 59 shots good for a .922 save percentage. The Parma, Ohio native began the week with a 26 save effort in a 4-1 win over the Rapid City Rush, a game that Keserich had to leave for close to 10 minutes to have a cut on his hand stitched up. He followed that up with a 33 save performance on the road versus his former team, the Wichita Thunder, in a 7-4 victory.

The 6-2, 200-pound goalie began the season in Wichita where he lost three straight starts before being released by the Thunder. He has gone 8-5-0 with Tulsa including winning five straight decisions and going 7-1-0 in his last eight games.
