
Oakland Roots SC Sign Four More Players to Academy Contracts

Oakland, CA - Oakland Roots SC announces the addition of four more Project 51O players earning Academy Contracts to play for the first team. Tomas Caminos, Matteo Carbone, Ali Elmasnaouy and Eli Wachs have all come through Project 51O to earn first team contracts as the team fills out its roster. Three of the four are born and raised in Oakland, California with all four coming from Northern California.
"We're delighted for these guys to be taking such an important step in their professional careers with us," said Oakland Roots SC Technical Director Jordan Ferrell. "Identifying, developing, and providing opportunities to high-potential players from Oakland and the Bay Area is integral to the purpose and growth of the club on and off the field."
Tomas Caminos is an 18-year-old defender from Oakland, California. The East Bay United Bay Oaks and Bishop O'Dowd High School product will wear the number 49 for the first team.
Matteo Carbone is a 21-year-old defender, from Scotts Valley, California. The Fiorentina, Cosenza and Scotts Valley High School product will wear the number 65 for the first team.
Ali Elmasnaouy is a 19-year-old midfielder from Oakland, California. The East Bay United Bay Oaks and Berkeley High School highschool product will wear the number 45 for the first team.
Eli Wachs 18-year-old midfielder from Oakland, California. The East Bay United Bay Oaks and Edmentum Academy High School product will wear the number 41 with the first team.
